The Mar Vista School Enrichment Group is a parent and volunteer-run, non-profit entity, created to fund ancillary enrichment programs at Mar Vista Elementary School (LAUSD).
Founded in 1947, each year it raises nearly $700,000 from donors to fund full-time programs such as the Computer Lab, Music Instruction, Teacher’s Aides, and STEAM Night. It also funds critical “classroom size reduction teachers” which pays for 2 additional full-time LAUSD teachers to keep class sizes small.
The program is run in close cooperation with the school principal and LAUSD.
Since 2020, our family has contributed each year to the Annual Giving Campaign, donating over $10,000 in our part to help keep these special programs active.
We believe in the incredible work performed by the dedicated parents and volunteers to make these programs available. Through contributions by generous donors, each year MVSEG is able to make a positive learning impact for nearly 600 K-5 students.
MVSEG’s current tax filings and financials is made available by ProPublica here.
